The project site is a community land that belongs to the parish of Sistelo, Arcos de Valdevez, district of Viana do Castelo. It's a mountainous area, mostly occupied by scots pine, Lawson cypress, birch and shrubland.

Total project area is about 15 ha. A contract between the Conselho Diretivo de Baldios de Sistelo and ACHLI was signed. During the validity of the contract several interventions will be carried out that aim to protect the existing forest stands and to improve habitat conditions. These interventions can be fuel management, reforestations, etc.
