This project is developed on a mountainous community land belonging to the parish of Gave, Melgaço, district of Viana do Castelo. The project area is mainly occupied by pine, some hardwoods and shrubland.

The total project area has about 44 ha. A contract between the Junta de Freguesia de Gave and ACHLI was signed. During the validity of the contract several interventions will be carried out with the aim to protect existing forest stands and improve habitat conditions. These interventions may include fuel management, reforestations, etc.
