The intervention site is a community land that belongs to the parish of Abedim, Monção. It's a mountainous area, mostly occupied by Douglas fir, but we can also find other forest species such as pine, Lawson cypress, oak, beech and chestnut.

Total intervention area is about 100 ha. Over the duration of the project a series of interventions will be carried out that aim to protect the existing forest stands and to improve habitat. These interventions can be fuel management, reforestations, etc.
