The intervention site is a community land that belongs to the parish of Monteiras, Castro Daire. It's a mountainous area, mostly occupied by pyreanean and common oaks and shrubland. 

Total intervention area is about 75 ha. Over the duration of the project a series of interventions will be carried out that aim to protect the existing forest stands and to improve habitat. These interventions can be fuel management, reforestations, etc.
